Baby shower 101 was created for new moms, friends and family members who are going to throw the baby shower. I wanted to make a portal where everyone can go to get free content in helping make planning less stressful for everyone as well as add some creativity to the baby shower if needed. A key fact to remember is that you are throwing this party for a good friend, sister, daughter, or family member and that being with good friends and family is the biggest value of the party. It does not have to be over the top (unless that is the way the mommy-to-be likes it to be :) Just make sure to have a good time with memorable things planned for the party since the biggest value during the baby shower is friendship, love, and excitement of a new little one joining the community of friends and family!

Baby Shower Question of the Month: I will be hosting a baby shower this month. My question is, when doing party favors, do you put the mother's name or the baby's? For example I wanted to get the candy bar wrapper's, where the front would read _________'s shower, and the baby shower date. Does the mom's or baby's name go there? Baby Shower Answer of the Month: You place the mommy-to-be's name on the baby shower party favors. That is what the tradition is but you can always do either. Since the baby shower is really for the mommy, that is why she would be honored on the candy bar wrapper. Thanksgiving Baby Shower Thanksgiving is already here and makes a great time to have a baby shower! There are so many ways to incorporate the Fall Thanksgiving Holiday into the baby shower! In the baby shower invitations, ask everyone to state one thing they give thanks for and read them out loud during the baby shower. It makes a nice warm loving atmosphere! Dress the room up with fall colors and changing leaves/pumpkins and large nuts! Use pumpkin spice candles or your favorite fragrance. Serve turkey finger sandwiches, pumpkin pie, butternut squash soup, cranberries, and other tasty Thanksgiving recipes. If having a co-ed baby shower, leave the sports games on so the men are busy while the women can mingle and play baby shower games. A great baby shower gift for the season are warm onesies and other clothing for the winter (blankets) as it will start getting real cold! A fun baby shower game to play is to "guess the turkey in the oven's weight and date". Have everyone guess when the new addition will come as well as the weight.
